Volunteer with teenagers at Haltegriff organisation

About

"Haltegriff" means a support strap, symbolizing guidance for young people transitioning to adulthood. “Haltegriff” is an institution offering living and work training for young people aged 16 to 21 with NEET status (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) who cannot live at home. "Haltegriff" helps them develop independence both personally and professionally.

There are two teams: the work coaching team, which organizes internships and workshops to build job skills, and the living facility team at youth home, which provides accommodation for up to 16 youngsters and supervises their daily lives. The teams consist of pedagogues, social workers, and psychologists.

"Haltegriff" supports youths facing issues at home or in education. The team of workers helps them develop social and professional skills. There are many activities offered, such as workshops, outdoor days, and trips, to enhance personal growth.

The volunteer will support both the work training and living facility teams, providing assistance in various areas. The volunteer will receive guidance from a task-related mentor and have the opportunity to develop and implement their own project ideas. They can introduce their culture to broaden the teenagers' perspectives. This role is ideal for those interested in education, social work, and psychology. The volunteer must be 21 or older and have basic German skills to engage with the team and youth.
