Freiwilligenprojekte im Europäischen Solidaritätskorps
Das EU-Jugendprogramm Europäisches Solidaritätskorps (ESK) fördert ehrenamtliches Engagement auf nationaler und europäischer Ebene. Mit dem ESK können jungen Menschen (18-30 Jahre) einen Freiwilligendienst in Europa und den Nachbarländern absolvieren. Das Programm in Österreich wird von der Nationalagentur OeAD Bildung und Internationalisierung abgewickelt. LOGO jugendmanagement ist eine Lead- und Entsendeorganisation für das ESK-Programm in der Steiermark.
7 Schritte zu deinem ESK-Freiwilligenprojekt
Fülle den ESK-Interessensbogen aus und schicke ihn an uns. Du wirst zu einem Beratungsgespräch eingeladen.
Wenn du auf "anmelden" anklickst, wirst du zunächst aufgefordert, dir einmalig ein Benutzerkonto beim Authentifizierungsdienst der EU-Kommission anzulegen. Mit diesem "EU-Login" erhältst du dann ein Passwort, mit dem du deine Registrierung in der ESK-Datenbank fortsetzen kannst. Nach der Registrierung erhältst du eine automatische Benachrichtigung an die von dir angegebenen E-Mail-Adresse. In dieser E-Mail ist deine persönliche Teilnehmernummer (PRN) angegeben. Das ist sozusagen die Kennziffer für dein Konto in der Datenbank. Mit deinen Zugangsdaten kannst du dich jederzeit in die Datenbank einloggen und auf die Suche nach möglichen Einsatzstellen gehen. Es ist aber auch möglich, dass du von interessierten Organisationen gefunden und kontaktiert wirst.
Als erstes solltest du dich mit deinen Zugangsdaten einloggen, um dein Profil zu bearbeiten und deinen Lebenslauf (am besten auf Englisch) hochzuladen. Wir empfehlen dir, deinen Lebenslauf mit dem Europass zu erstellen. Wenn du Hilfe benötigst, kannst du uns deine Bewerbungsunterlagen schicken und wir geben dir Verbesserungsvorschläge.
Wenn du eine interessante Stelle gefunden hast, klicke auf „apply / bewerben“. Die Organisation erhält die Informationen aus deinem Profil. Lies dir die Ausschreibung durch, es kann sein, dass du ein zusätzliches Motivationsschreiben oder Fragebögen ausfüllen musst.
Nach Ablauf der Bewerbungsfrist kannst du zu einem Vorstellungsgespräch eingeladen werden. Wenn dein Profil und deine Motivation passen, kannst du eine Zusage bekommen. Wir empfehlen dir, dich für mehrere Projekte zu bewerben, da es viele Interessenten gibt.

Green Summit in Bulgaria

Join the Green Summit, a long-term mobility project by the Green Association. Spend six months in the Bulgarian countryside, primarily at the Green House in Momin Prohod and partner farms like Venets. Gain hands-on experience in organic farming, construction, and organizing events promoting sustainable living. Work 6-7 hours/day, Monday to Friday, with weekend compensation. Accommodation provided in shared rooms, with a monthly food allowance of 130 euros. Pocket money: 120 euros/month. Participation in a permaculture design course. ESTONIA
Volunteering in Estonia
Organisation EstYes has 15 open placements for individual volunteering services in Estonia, which are starting from September/October 2024. The average duration of these services is 7-9 months and take place in rural areas as well in the capital Tallinn.
As for the current open placements, the hosting organizations are kindergartens, schools, youth and cultural centres, social organizations.

noOR MTÜ is an European Solidarity Corps volunteering organisation in Estonia and coordinates around 25 international volunteering services in Tallinn and smaller places across Estonia. Every year 25 international volunteers choose to come to Estonia and share their time and spirit with local communities.

VISA-AD is a French association founded in 1959 with the aim of developing long-term volunteering in the fields of social action, education, solidarity and health in France and Europe. GERMANY
Solidarity in Action - Minors Refugees Shelter
VISIONEERS gGmbH in Berlin, Germany is looking for a volunteer for our residential group for young refugees who have recently arrived in Germany. Approximately 40 young men are cared for on a daily basis, with tasks including German lessons, games, sports and relationship building. Other tasks include housekeeping, enforcing rules, communal meals and more. The variety of daily tasks allows volunteers to initiate personal projects with the boys. Desired qualities include a strong alignment with VISIONEERS' mission and Christian values, enjoyment in working with male teenagers with refugee backgrounds, reliability and a good knowledge of German (B1/B2). Openness to all religions and backgrounds is essential, as is a commitment to being a positive role model, such as not smoking in front of our clients.

Solidarity in Action: Teaching German to Refugees

Volunteer in an organic educational farm
The association “Fattoria l’Arca is looking” for volunteers (18-30 y.o.) for a long-term ESC volunteer project in Belvedere Marittimo, Italy.
The volunteers will be working in the organic garden, in the green houses, cleaning the areas of the animals and harvesting fruit and vegetables.
The will be also learn about soil digging, planting while helping where there is need.

Besides that, they are taking part in all sorts of events, and festivals to spread the word about animal welfare and volunteering.

4 European Youth Goals – Short-Term ESC volunteering project
Association Check-IN, based in Lissabon, Portugal, is looking for volunteers to actively support the association's staff with promoting European Youth projects. Volunteers will assist in revitalizing the Check-IN Eurodesk Infopoint by organizing the physical space, developing materials regarding European mobilities, updating the organization's website and Facebook pages, and creating a newsletter featuring opportunities and monthly documentary activities. Additionally, volunteers will collaborate with the staff to organize sessions on European Programs in schools, universities, youth organizations, and municipalities. This involvement includes reaching out to partners, promoting sessions, managing materials, coordinating participants, maintaining online platforms, and documenting volunteer experiences and activities every month.

Volunteering in social projects for the Caritas
Caritas Gandia is looking for volunteers (18 - 30 y.o.) for a long-term project in Gandia, Spain.
Participants will be supporting the organisation with all the services they offer.
They will be helping in both as basic needs and specific activities regarding attention to families and migrants, social services, literacy and digital training and vocational workshops.

The association ASMISAF/AUNA is looking for volunteers (18 - 30 y.o.) for a long-term project in Gandia, Spain.
Participants will be giving their support in the activities of the association.
They will help during excursions to the different events of the villages, nights at the cinema and in cooking and handicraft workshops.

Association Obre't'ebre is looking for volunteers(18 - 30 y.o.) for two ESC volunteer project (one long term and the other one short term) in Tortosa, Spain.
The volunteers will be promoting mobility projects, such as European Solidarity Corps and international work camps in schools and non-formal organisations.
They will be also helping in the management of the social media of the association.

Volunteering at Mullsjö Folkhögskola
Mullsjö folk high school is a folk high school formed on the Scandinavian philosophy of using non-formal methodology. The school hosts adult students studying regular high schools subjects, as well as a wide range of thematic courses in music, sports or art - for example ceramics, textile, photography. There are approximately 150 students at Mullsjö Folk High School. The school's core themes revolve around: international cooperation, international relations, development cooperation; creativity and culture; new innovative curricula/educational methods.

Volunteering at Staffansgården Camphill
Staffansgården is part of the international Camphill Movement and is situated in the small village Delsbo. It consists of a village where about 30 adults with different mental disabilities are living together in smaller units, each in their own, self-contained, flat. The aim of Staffansgården is to give adults with mental disabilities support in their daily life. With the help of employed staff, the villagers live and work in four different places. Being part of the project is a unique chance to understand and learn about anthroposophic methods of creating developing and enriching activities for mentally challenged people.

Volunteer at the Toy Library Association with disadvantaged children.
The Toy Library Association is looking for volunteers for the ESC Programme in Ankara starting in early 2024. Duration: 10 to 12 months. Our main purpose is to provide equal opportunities for disadvantaged children.

Projektformate
Individueller Freiwilligeneinsatz
Ein Langzeiteinsatz dauert zwischen 2 bis maximal 12 Monaten. Dieser Einsatz kann nur einmal absolviert werden. Ein Kurzeinsatz dauert bis 59 Tage. Diese Möglichkeit richtet sich ausschließlich an benachteiligte Jugendliche. Nach dem Kurzeinsatz können die Teilnehmenden an einem Langzeitprojekt teilnehmen.
Freiwilligenteams
Freiwilligenteams bieten die Möglichkeit, in einer Gruppe bestehend aus 10 bis 40 Personen bei einem Projekt mitzuwirken. Dabei handelt es sich um kürzere Freiwilligeneinsätze zwischen 2 Wochen und 2 Monaten, die oftmals in den Ferien angeboten werden. An Team-Projekten können junge Menschen beliebig oft teilnehmen.
Programm und Partnerländer
Einsätze können in allen EU-Mitgliedsstaaten sowie in Island, Liechtenstein, Nordmazedonien, in der Türkei und in Ausnahmefällen in Partnerländern der EU stattfinden.
Unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen ist ein Einsatz im Inland möglich, beispiels¬weise für Asylwerber: innen.

Aufnahmeorganisationen
Es gibt verschiedene Organisationen, die ESK-Freiwillige aufnehmen. Jede Aufnahemorganisation verfügt über ein Qualitätssiegel und ist von der Nationalagentur überprüft. Hier findest du alle akkreditierten Organisationen und kannst sie nach Bedarf filtern:

Arbeits- und Finanzierungsbedingungen
- ESK-Freiwilligenprojekte sind kostenlos! Alle Kosten sind durch das Programm Europäisches Solidaritätskorps und die Aufnahmeorganisation gedeckt. Die Freiwillige erhalten Unterkunft, Verpflegung, eine Kranken-, Unfall- und Haftpflichtversicherung, lokale Transportunterstützung, sprachliche Unterstützung, ein monatliches Taschengeld (abhängig von deinem Einsatzland) und einen Pauschalbetrag für die An- und Abreisekosten.
- Während des Freiwilligenprojektes haben österreichische Teilnehmer: innen Anspruch auf Familienbeihilfe, wenn sie die Voraussetzungen für den Bezug der Familienbeihilfe erfüllen
- Die Arbeitszeit beträgt 30-38 Stunden pro Woche. Der Urlaubsanspruch beträgt 2 Tage pro Monat.
Gute Gründe, sich zu engagieren
- Alle Möglichkeiten werden von der EU gefördert und finanziert – es entstehen keine Kosten.
- Einzige Einschränkung: Teilnehmende müssen zwischen 18 und 30 Jahre alt sein.
- Es gibt keine formalen Voraussetzungen – wichtig sind die Motivation und die Bereitschaft, einen ESK-Freiwilligendienst zu leisten!
- Jeder ist willkommen: Für Jugendliche mit sozialen oder gesundheitlichen Benachteiligungen gibt es besondere Fördermaßnahmen.
- LOGO ist die Entsendeorganisation in der Steiermark – Teilnehmer: innen werden bei der Projektsuche, Bewerbung und während des Projektes unterstützt.
- Die Freiwilligen arbeiten in gemeinnützigen Projekten für einen guten Zweck und erwerben neue Kompetenzen.
- Es wird ein umfangreiches Begleitprogramm wird angeboten: Pre-Departure, On-Arrival und Mid-Term Trainings, Sprachkurse, usw.
- Die Freiwilligen werden Teil einer großen Gemeinschaft und schließen Freundschaften fürs Leben: Sie lernen neue Kulturen kennen und erweitern ihren Horizont.
- Das Programm bietet wertvolle Erfahrungen für den weiteren persönlichen und beruflichen Lebensweg.
Häufige Fragen
Die Suche nach einem ESK-Einsatz sollte am besten einige Monate vor dem gewünschten Projektstart passieren. Je früher du dich bewirbst, desto besser! Wir können dir aber nicht garantieren, dass du zum gewünschten Zeitpunkt einen Projektplatz findest.
Wer spontan und flexibel ist, kann aber auch ganz kurzfristig einen Projektplatz ergattern. Am besten schaust du dann die Angebote, die auf Facebook Gruppen (z.B. European Solidarity Corps Official, ESC vacancies, ESC – European Solidarity Corps, usw.) beworben sind, durch.
Leider werden die ESK-Freiwilligeneinsätze bis auf weiteres nicht als Wehrdienst-Ersatz („Zivildienstersatz“) anerkannt. Die notwendigen Gesetzesnovellierungen sind noch nicht passiert und eine zeitliche Abschätzung, ob und wann diese vorgenommen werden, kann momentan nicht gemacht werden.
